A roundup of new books I can’t review plus one show

Along with “Fragments of a Faith Forgotten: The Art of Harry Smith,” at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York through January 28, there are a number of new books that because I contributed to them or blurbed them I can’t really write about in Real Life Rock Top 10. But I want to call attention to them.
