I tank you for your article on Coltrane. I did not listen often to his music nor the music of Nirvana but your writing was insightful and perceptive in helping me understand the deeper tragedy of him and the music and fan suck symbiosis impacting this iconic, from what I’ve read music legend and group. He had options all his life besides the void. But as Hamlet said there is a certain Providence in the fall of all us sparrows..if it be not now/twill be to come’ the readiness is all..or better yet “There’s a divinity that shapes our ends, Rough-hew them how we will.” Thank you again. I should consider paying you now for your excellent hard work. Sincerely yours, Lani Elizabeth Makholm

As nicely apt Cobain homage as you'll find: "the music grows, expands, fills any room, and you glimpse a person who plainly believed he could never make anything so good himself, a star who, singing these songs, is their ultimate fan."

Always appreciated you stumping for the Fastbacks, as well.
